The 2023 Verna Marie Hall Research Award was presented to Ana Rinaldi of AECEP on July 22, 2023 at their annual conference with over a thousand educators in attendance. Ana and her husband, Roberto, founded AECEP in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1997. Ana was honored as a scholar whose heart was awakened to Principled Education, who pursued its full mastery, practiced and shared it liberally, and produced materials to supply its growth in Brazil and internationally. She was honored for her generous investment of talents and gifts, and your obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ for the present and future generations of His children.
AECEP was founded in Sao Paulo in 1997 as a Christian NGO, established as a collaborative network of institutions, in response to schools and churches demanding support from the two pioneer Principled Educational Approach schools in Brazil. It has grown to over 130 associated schools and 40 affiliated educators, located in most states of Brazil, providing reference materials, courses, workshops, interchange of experiences, consulting and other services. AECEP reaches over 20,000 students in grades K-12.
The Verna Marie Hall Research Award honors FACE co-founder Verna Hall, whose research and documentation of the Christian history of the Constitution of the United States of America has equipped generations with the knowledge to protect the liberty our Founders intended, and inspires others to further research and teaching. The Award was established by FACE co-founder and first president, Rosalie June Slater, and is given periodically to acknowledge an exceptional contribution that encourages the knowledge and understanding of our US Constitution.
Since 1993, the Verna Hall Research Award has honored only 14 individuals across America. This is the first time a Brazilian educator has been selected for the award.
