Paul Revere Eagle
The Paul Revere Eagle was adopted as the trademark eagle for the Foundation for American Christian Education when Verna Hall and Rosalie Slater discovered its history while visiting Plymouth on one of their many field studies in the 1960’s. Inspired by the original, a California artist, John Grossman, designed the logo and served as the book designer for the red books and Consider and Ponder. The historic original was cast in iron, gilded, by Paul Revere (1735-1818), is 32” high x 66” wide, and weighs 200 pounds. One of the four commissioned in 1789 by General Henry Knox is now in a private collection in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
