The mission of FACE is a mission of hope—hope that God restores what the locust has destroyed. With hope, we believe that God calls us to participate in restoration—building, restoring, and renewing.
Noah Webster defined hope as “a desire of some good, with… an expectation of obtaining it, or a belief it is obtainable; confidence in a future event; a wellfounded expectation of good.”
The 24/7 streaming news headlines make it easy to think our nation is unredeemable and the defeat of the values we hold dear is eminent. However, a closer examination of history shows us many desperate times when God moved mightily to deliver His people. “Remember your word to your servant, in which you have made me hope.” Psalm 119:49
Our greatest hope for generational restoration is educating our children in the Biblical principles of liberty. When we teach the children according to Deuteronomy 4-6, we restore the nation to its God-given purpose. Children must not be taught evil and subservience to tyranny but taught hope for their lives and future.
Faith, hope, and love dwell in us by choice and provide the place of rest in Christ. Faith is the essential doorway to life and liberty; love is the heart of God reflected by us towards others; sandwiched between the two mighty powers of faith and love abides HOPE.
We are in Christ when we hold firmly to our confidence and “the HOPE of which we boast,” exulting in expectation. Join us in celebrating and, yes, even boasting in hope.
Teach the children.

Building on a True Foundation
True Foundation Christian School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is the first Principle Approach® school to earn accreditation from the National Association of Private Schools (NAPS). NAPS serves as the accrediting body of over 250 Christian schools nationwide.
True Foundation chose NAPS to give parents confidence that a professional organization has examined and ensured that the school has met its requirements. Another benefit is the Oklahoma Parental Choice Tax Credit, which is available to families whose children are enrolled in an accredited school.
“The hand of the Lord was evident as we stepped out in faith to become accredited by NAPS! It was a positive process resulting in the school’s internal growth,” commented Headmaster Christine Lovett. “The Leading Schools Program was instrumental in helping us reach accreditation.”
True Foundation is a member of the FACE Leading Schools Program with the mission to nurture families in authentic Biblical education through the Principle Approach. Founded by Principle Approach Master Teachers Christine Lovett and Stephanie Holler, True Foundation is a ministry of Real Church, pastored by Scott C. Lovett. “We are striving upwards for the glory of our God to reclaim generations for His purpose,” said Christine.
What is education?
G.K. Chesterton
Education is simply the soul of a society as it passes from one generation to another. Whatever the soul is like, it will have to be passed on somehow, consciously or unconsciously…It is… the transfer of a way of life.
Teaching, Inspiring, Leading
Laura Caruso’s enthusiasm and inspiration are contagious, whether teaching high school home school students, instructing other teachers, or leading a Christian history tour. Her background in public relations was the beginning of her love for working with people. When introduced to Principle Approach education, she experienced a major career shift that began a lifetime of teaching and learning. Laura completed her Principle Approach Master Teacher Certification in 2021 and soon joined the FACE Teaching Faculty. Her love of history led to creating history tours that illuminate the real story of America and the ideas that undergird our exceptional form of government. Hundreds of families and students have benefited from Laura’s excursions. This October, in conjunction with the FACE 60th Anniversary celebration, Laura will lead a Christian history tour in Virginia to highlight the birth of liberty and Christian self-government in the New World.
High Flying Volunteer
Major Gary R. Porter, USAF, Retired, has volunteered at FACE for 10 years. After retiring from a 21-year career flying the F-15, F105, and other aircraft, he retired from a second career in 2012 to get more involved in the political process. He formed the Constitution Leadership Initiative, a non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging a better understanding of the Constitution.
Gary had been introduced to the “red books,” and when he discovered that the FACE headquarters was right in his backyard, he offered his volunteer services. He organized the Hall Slater Library using a comprehensive inventory system. His experience with computer databases guided him to find a program to catalog the 12,000+ volumes. He suggested a seminar series to bring scholars to FACE to teach the principles of liberty, which became the Lessons in Liberty speaker series. When Dr. Adams reinvigorated Verna Hall’s Christian History of the Constitution III project, Gary volunteered as Managing Editor and moved the project forward.
Asked why he gives so much, he said, “It is painfully obvious that Americans don’t know our nation’s founding history. They need this knowledge to put current events in perspective. FACE is a critical organization to remedy that lack of knowledge and help rejuvenate the process by which our Founding Fathers were educated.
Our purpose is…to ask ourselves how and to what degree can we establish Christian standards so the philosophy, the curriculum, and the method ‘testify of me—Christ.’
