Dear Friend,
Recently, the mail arrived while I was with one of my friends. I opened it to find the latest Nehemiah Institute PEERS Test trend report. 1 I shared the report with him and pointed out the continuing decline of Biblical worldview scores of Christian students in both Christian and public schools, and the steady rise of scores, year after year, of Christian students in Principle Approach schools.
As we looked at the chart, my friend became thoughtful and near tears. I averted my eyes, and after a moment, he said, “My wife and I were young and foolish when we had children. We made lots of mistakes with our kids. We didn’t know much. Carey, we would give everything we have now if we could put our kids on the top line of that chart. If we had had information like this thirty years ago, we would have moved anywhere in the country to get this for our children.” He sat back slowly and said gravely: “You must realize and make others realize that this is the most important thing that has happened in Christian education in two centuries.”
Overstated? It was a poignant moment among friends, yet an honest look at the world we’ve brought our children to, and the future it predicts causes us to turn back to this chart for hope.
One of the most important things we are doing at FACE today is making Principle Approach education accessible in every state. We are working steadily to make known what authentic Christian education can produce and what it does for the individual. I often hear from families that wish they had known of the Principle Approach and had considered more carefully the outcome of education in shaping their children’s worldview.
I am writing to ask you to prayerfully consider making a commitment to launch and elevate Principle Approach schools in 2024 by December 31. We will move forward as quickly as God stirs His people to get involved.
The hunger for help gives FACE more opportunities to partner with pastors, parents, and others to start schools, train teachers, and teach Americans the mandate of multi generational educational faithfulness.
