Inspired by Psalm 78 and with a passion for illuminating God’s Hand in History, Laura Caruso is privileged to lead field study tours to important historical sites and to provide History, Humanities, Government and Economics courses for families who are home educating high-school students.
Laura received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Radio/Televison from the University of Central Florida and worked in public relations before jumping into the the adventure of home education in 2001. In God’s providence, she was introduced to the Principle Approach© that very year and began a lifetime of teaching and learning! Laura served for nine years as co-director of TEAM Home School Cooperative in St. Cloud, Florida, as Florida State Coordinator for TeenPact Leadership Schools and, later, as a Field Director for Florida Family Action, a faith-based political action organization. She also spent more than a year speaking to groups across her state about the sources and dangers of the Common Core education standards. A Principle Approach© educator for more than twenty years, Laura has focused on the study of original source documents, the real stories of America and the ideas that undergird her exceptional form of government.
She and her husband, Brett, are parents to Kaylyn, “in-laws” to Ryan and grandparents to Cooper & Brooks!
