The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity. I will avow that I then believed, and now believe, that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God.
John Adams (1735-1826)
Political correctness is a term that has flooded our daily life. However, most Americans do not understand the Marxist theory that not only undergirds it, but intentionally erodes the liberty God has given us.
How does Marxism measure up to the Bible, America’s Christian history and our American ideas of Liberty under law?
Marx Said: | The Bible Says: |
---|---|
Replace God with atheism | God is sovereign over His universe |
Communism begins where atheism begins. My object in life is to dethrone God and destroy capitalism. | ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and first commandment. Matthew 22:37-40 |
Destroy the idea of individual value | Creator God values His creation |
The democratic concept of man is false because it is Christian…holds that each man is a sovereign being. This is the illusion, dream and postulate of Christianity. | Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. Romans 10:29-31 |
Give the state control of all property | God owns His creation and we are His stewards |
From each according to his abilities to each according to his needs. A progressive income tax is necessary to the proper development of communism. | And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:28 |
Replace truthful history with social justice | Honor Providential history from primary sources |
Take away a nation’s heritage and they are more easily persuaded. Keep people from their history and they are easily controlled. | We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders that he has done. Psalm 78:4 |
Teach the Children
- Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.
- “God made you special like no one else you see. He made you a witness to His diversity.”*
- History is “His Story”; it is the outcome of God’s dealing with men and nations.
