Why Do I Love America?

Author Amy GreenPosted on June 29, 2022June 29, 2022Categories Discerning Moment

We gather tonight to herald the most important day in the history of nations, July 4th, 1776. At those words, every American heart should swell with pride, every American family should cheer with delight, and every American patriot should be filled with joy because each of you lives in the most magnificent country in the history of the world…

Our Founders launched not only a revolution in government, but a revolution in the pursuit of justice, equality, liberty and prosperity.

President Donald J. Trump

The cacophony of media pundits, university radicals, global corporate CEOs and technology giants touts a progressive and radical movement to “cancel” the ideals, principles and culture on which America was founded. The result: Hatred for America, even coming from some of her own citizens.

Today, we are reminded that we “live in the most magnificent country in the history of the world.” Why is this true?

Here are some points to ponder and Teach the Children this Fourth of July while you enjoy the freedom of a cookout and fireworks.

Why do I love America?

  • America is unique. The founding idea of limited government allows each individual to live a responsible and purposeful life.
  • America is the land of liberty with freedom of speech and abundant opportunity guaranteed by our Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights.
  • America has led the nations in advancing healthcare, agriculture, transportation, technology and invention.
  • America offers equal opportunity regardless of race, birth, sex or religion. Every individual can prosper by hard work, honesty and perseverance.
  • America was the nation that ended the conventions that caused slavery and eventually propelled the abolition of slavery in other nations.
  • Most importantly, America upholds religious liberty honoring those who love and serve God. Never lose sight of the miraculous story of America!

Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty.

II Corinthians 3:17
