“Let the people have property, and they will have power…”
An Examination into the Leading Principles of a National Constitution, Noah Webster
Dear Fellow Patriots,
Bob is a patriotic American who once lived in California. However, confiscatory taxation plus encampments of homeless and mentally ill individuals on street medians and sidewalks across his city forced him to reconsider his plans for retiring in the sunny state. Disillusioned and “fed up,” he declared “enough” of the state’s intrusion on his safety, property, life, and liberty. Bob and his wife made the difficult choice to uproot their lives and move to a new state where they could regain the foundational freedoms that should be protected: the enjoyment of property, the pursuit of happiness, and the right to life and liberty.
Noah Webster, the Father of American Education, understood that preserving property rights is a fundamental duty of government and essential to protecting all of our rights. Again, we quote Noah Webster:
“The power of the people has increased in an exact proportion to their acquisitions of property…Wherever we cast our eyes, we see this truth, that property is the basis of power; and this… directs us to the means of preserving our freedom.“
An Examination into the Leading Principles of a National Constitution, Noah Webster
Bob searched to understand why his liberty and his property were being eroded. He was delighted to discover the Foundation for American Christian Education (FACE). He said, “You (FACE) are not only stating the problem but are taking the action steps needed to make a change to glorify God, and my wife and I want to be a part of it.”
The FACE mission, unchanged for sixty years, is resolute in teaching the Biblical principles that undergird our liberty.
There is a saying, “As California goes, so goes the nation.” Bob experienced firsthand that his freedom and security could be taken away by political leaders consumed with socialist agendas and power. Bob’s security, and the security of all Americans, lies in our knowledge of the founding principles of our Republic, especially the preservation of property.
Recently, Dr. Kim Bebb, a FACE Principle Approach Master Teacher, presented the vital connection between property and liberty at our Lessons in Liberty speaker series. She said, “External property is required for the free exercise of internal property. External property (our homes, cars, or businesses) facilitates the ‘liberty environment,’ which is the place where we can express our internal liberty (our opinions, intellect, religion, conscience)–our inalienable rights – in order to freely fulfill our moral duties to God…Property and liberty are inseparable.”
Bob and Dr. Bebb know that educating in the principles that once led us to liberty will return America to a Biblical self-governing nation.
Will you join the growing movement and become a member of the Society of Restorers? As our monthly partner, you will receive free access to the upcoming 2024-25 Lessons in Liberty series, Biblical Keys to Securing America for our Children, as a thank you for your support of FACE. In this series of nine lessons, guest speakers will confront the ideologies behind today’s political crises. Border security, inflation, deficit spending, and weaponizing laws are only a few issues that will be addressed. These issues threaten the liberty of our children and future generations.
Your support today will educate many on the Biblical principles of government so that together, we can “restore what the moth has eaten” and once again enjoy the blessings of liberty in a self-governing nation. Thank you for your gift and commitment to FACE.
