FACE and the Nehemiah Institute have partnered with World Outreach Worship
Center in Newport News to deliver Biblical worldview training to their
congregation and to promote Biblical education.
After Pastor Russell Evenson and his pastoral staff attended a FACE/Nehemiah
Pastor’s Summit last year, they decided to take the next step. They invited
Max Lyons and Dan Smithwick to teach a full day God and Country seminar
addressing Biblical worldview and Biblical Christian education. 175 members
of their church attended this training in October. Next, Pastor Evenson’s
WOWC became the first church in America to give the PEERS Test to the entire
church staff, church preschool teachers and congregation members. Dan and
Max returned to the church on Sunday, December 13 to present the test scores,
interpret them, offer an array of solutions, and next steps. The pastors
assure us that they are ramping up their efforts to make sure that young and
old in their church are regularly receiving training in understanding and
applying the Biblical Worldview.
