America’s founding and establishment was the result of a people educated in Christian principles. Only a knowledge of these Biblical principles can ensure the continuance of them in the civil and religious spheres.

Karl Marx defined a philosophy of government designed to destroy civilization as we know it. Today, we compare Marx’s ideas with the Biblical ideas of Liberty that have defined America for over 400 years.
How does Marxism measure up to the Bible, America’s Christian history and our American ideas of Liberty under law?
Marx said: | Liberty says: |
---|---|
Replace God with atheism | The Christian idea of man |
Communism begins where atheism begins. My object in life is to dethrone God and destroy capitalism. | “The kings of the earth…take counsel together, against the Lord and against his anointed,…He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision…As for me, I have set my King on Zion, my holy hill.” Psalm 2: 2-6 ESV |
Destroy the idea of individual value | God’s principle of individuality |
The democratic concept of man is false because it is Christian…holds that each man is a sovereign being. This is the illusion, dream and postulate of Christianity. | “Christianity appeared with its central doctrine, that man was created in the Divine image and destined for immortality, pronouncing, that in the eye of God all men are equal. This asserted for the individual an independent value. It occasioned the inference, that man is superior to the State, who ought to be fashioned for his use.” CHOC I, Verna Hall, p. 2. |
Give the state control of all property | American liberty |
From each according to his abilities to each according to his needs. A progressive income tax is necessary to the proper development of communism. | “ Among the natural rights of the Colonists are these: First, a right to life; Secondly, to liberty; Thirdly, to property; together with the right to support and defend them in the best manner they can…the duty of self-preservation, commonly called the first law of nature.” Samuel Adams, CHOC I, p. 365 |
Replace truthful history with social justice | American history is Christian history |
Take away a nation’s heritage and they are more easily persuaded. Keep people from their history and they are easily controlled. | “To the kindly influence of Christianity we owe that degree of civil freedom, and political and social happiness which mankind now enjoy…as the genuine effects of Christianity are diminished through unbelief, corruption of doctrine or neglect of its institutions, people from that nation will recede from blessings of genuine freedom” CHOC I, Verna Hall, p. V |
Teach the Children:
- God is Creator and sovereign over all Earth and His creation. (Psalm 2)
- You have an independent value apart from the state. Christianity affirms the value of the individual.
- You have a unique purpose and calling in life which will lead you to “good works”. God has promised a blessing on good works, and out of justice, a curse on evil works.
