Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God.
Hebrews 6:1 NKJV
Noah Webster’s 1828 American Dictionary of the English Language defines Principle:
Principle n. (L. beginning) In a general sense: the cause, source or origin of any thing; that from which a thing proceeds. Being that produces any thing; operative cause.
Principle is the nature of the Gospel, the reason for education, the purpose of ‘enlightening the nation’, starting schools, building Christian families, and the future of the nation, why we vote, how we live.
Nothing in life or in nature operates without the governance of principles.
Teach the Children:
- Learning to live by “first principles” (Biblical principles) will always help you make good decisions in life.
- Biblical principles are the foundational “source” of our US Constitution.
- Observing the actions of others will give insight to their “operating principles”. Knowing this will help you choose friends and colleagues wisely throughout life.
