God made me for His purpose
He fashioned me to be
An image for His glory,
Almighty Father He.
The key to Conscience is CONSENT. Webster’s American Dictionary of the English Language, 1828 defines consent as “a yielding of the mind or will”.
For Men being all the Workmanship of one Omnipotent, and infinitely wise Maker: All the Servants of one Sovereign Master, sent into the World by his Order, and about his Business, they are his Property, whose Workmanship they are, made to last during his, not one another’s Pleasure …“Of Civil Government: Of the State of Nature”, John Locke, The Christian History of the Constitution of the United States of America: Christian Self-Government, John Locke, p. 58:6.
His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.Matthew 25:23 KJV
Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.1 Corinthians 4:2 KJV
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.1 Corinthians 6:20 KJV
Teach the children:
First: We belong to God.
Second: We are to be good stewards of God’s property—oneself.
Third: My consent is necessary to keep my conscience in God’s will.
Consider and Ponder: As each student begins to learn the importance of Christian self-government, and of the responsibility which each one has to be faithful stewards of God’s property—oneself, this becomes true Christian government.
