Have I not commanded you to be strong and courageous?Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.
Joshua 1:9 ESV
Events in Washington, DC during the past week have been shocking and seemingly designed to shake the good faith and trust of American citizens. This, however, is the time for those who love liberty, truth and sanity to stand firm in the knowledge that “the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
When the outward appearance of events seemed hopeless, God promised Joshua, “Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you.”
There is work to do and the work must go on. When there is work to do, God will either find or make instruments to carry it on. God will also change hands to show that He is not tied to any.
God gave Joshua the key to successfully occupying the Promised Land: “Be careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it…(it) shall not depart from you mouth…meditate on it day and night…be careful to do all that is written therein.”
Now is the time to strengthen our hands for the work ahead. We must teach the next generation the truth of God’s word and prepare them to inherit their birthright—the land of liberty.
Teach the children:
- Stand strong and remain firm in your faith.
- God is in control everywhere, all the time.
- Divine Providence is perfect and God always achieves His goals.
