“I have one great political idea…It is in substance, ‘Righteousness exalteth a nation – sin is a reproach to any people.’ This constitutes my politics, the negative and positive of my politics, and the whole of my politics…”
Frederick Douglass
The Biblical response to racism affirms that all humans are created in God’s image (Genesis 1:27) and share a common origin in Adam (Acts 17:26). The Bible recognizes only one human race; the concept of many “races” is man-made. Racism is a sin, violating God’s command to love others (James 2:8-9) and undermining the unity found in Christ (Galatians 3:28). Christians must approach conversations about race with truth and love, promoting unity and Biblical justice (Micah 6:8). By rejecting division and embracing God’s design for humanity, we can reflect His love and foster reconciliation through the Gospel.
Teach the Children:
1. We All Look Different, But God Made Us That Way. We are all unique and created from His image and design. Genesis 1:27
2. Speak Up for What’s Right. If you see someone being unkind because of how someone looks, stand up for what’s right, just like Jesus would. Proverbs 3:18
3. Jesus Loves All. You will never be able to look into the eyes of some one Jesus does not love. John 3:16
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.
Ephesians 4:15
