“No matter how worthy the cause, it is robbery, theft, and injustice to confiscate the property of one person and give it to another to whom it does not belong.”
Walter Williams, Distinguished Professor of Economics at George Mason University, a syndicated columnist, and author
Under the guise of “compassion, social justice, taking care of the poor, needy, or indebted,” we as a nation justify wealth confiscation and redistribution that is unbiblical, immoral, reckless, and leading our nation in the direction of financial collapse. We have almost completely abandoned our Founder’s view of limited government and honoring of private property and instead embraced a socialist worldview of civil government. Governments, local, state and federal now take an estimated 40-50% of the fruits of our labor yet the federal government overspends at an alarming rate leading to national debt growth that is unsustainable.
Teach the Children:
- God created and ordained civil governments for our good, but they need to be limited to the responsibility of punishing evil in a society.
- The American forefathers knew that the most important type of government is internal, Christian self-government. Our Republic is based upon this important truth that God requires us to govern, control and regulate ourselves according to His laws and Word.
- Wealth redistribution in a society is a great evil and injustice. It is a key tenet of socialism and does not belong in a nation ordered by Christian principles.
(The King) He will take …he will take for his own use…. He will take a tenth… you yourselves will become his slaves. When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, but the Lord will not answer you in that day.”
I Samuel 8: 15-18
