A Tale of Two Americas: What America Has Become
Presented by Dr. Max Lyons
Our national problems today are manifold:
- A political lurch to the left
- Marxists openly calling for a revolution
- Rioting, burning, stealing and assaulting with tacit approval by some radical left leaders and politicians
- Staggering, unaddressed national debt
- Porous borders which admit thousands of illegal immigrants each and every day
- Cries for more and more government control of our lives
- A public education system which has clearly failed us
- A Christian church that seems either to not understand the magnitude of the problem or which simply does not believe that culture is its responsibility
Verna Hall, co-founder of the Foundation for American Christian Education, were she alive today to contemplate this situation, would have a ready response: “The American Christians’ forgetting God’s works, God’s actions, in the forming of America, is at the bottom, or base of our national problems,” as she wrote in her essay entitled: “Why We Must Remember America’s Christian History, A Study of Psalm 78”.
We will define education Biblically and examine how the practice of Biblical Christian education is key to our path back to way of righteousness.
