The Foundation for American Christian Education (FACE) was honored to serve as a sponsor of 250Declaration, a special online event held on August 2, 2026, to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

The event brought together 14 Christian historians and leaders from across the nation to reflect on the Declaration’s core ideas:

•God-given rights

•the rule of law

•consent of the governed

•equality

•the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness

• the right to lawfully resist tyranny

Participants joined both in person and remotely. Among the featured speakers was Dr. Carole Adams, President of FACE, who presented “The Right to Pursue Happiness Rests on Stewardship of Property.” Her message highlighted the vital connection between the pursuit of happiness—understood by the founders as rooted in moral virtue—and the protection of private property as a cornerstone of liberty and Christian self-government.
