James R. Wallis, Jr., CPLP (M.Div., Covenant Theological Seminary; M.A., Regent University; MBA, The Mason School of Business, The College of William and Mary). He was Adjunct Professor of Humanities and Religion at Averett University for 15 years and Visiting Professor at DeVry University for 14 years. He also taught at William Carey International University in Pasadena, California. Jim has taught courses in Sociology, Comparative Religion, Cross-Cultural Studies, Humanism, Ethics, Environmental Ethics, Public Speaking, Old and New Testament Literature, and a variety of Communication and Marketing courses.
Jim was a TV and media producer with over 1,650 broadcast programs in English and Spanish (1979-1996). His journalism experience includes reporting and associate producer of broadcast television news with CBN, as well as the managing editor of a national specialty, advocacy newspaper, The Christian American. Jim wrote and produced over 150 broadcast news and feature packages and readers. He traveled to various Latin American countries and China as a producer and videographer. His second career has been in Instructional Design and Training (1996 to present). He has produced more than 145 video training programs in English, Portuguese and Spanish, as well as more than 90 skilled trades training courses representing more than 2,000 hours of Instructor Led and Practical hands-on training.
Jim is the author and co-editor of Passports to the World: Armenia, Spain, Myanmar, and China. He designed and wrote the first Adopt-a-People Prayer Cards: Kashmiri, Fulani, Uighurs, Turkmen, and the Thai. His is currently working on a book series on political philosophy with a view to defend and revive a covenant/federalist perspective in our polities.
