You shall walk in all the way that the Lord your God has commanded you, that you may live, and that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land that you shall possess.
Deuteronomy 5:33 ESV
God’s flawless plan for the family, outlined in Deuteronomy 4-6, has been under assault for decades. In today’s culture, the family’s role in the formation of the next generation is considered “non-essential.” However, the Christian family forms the heart of our nation and is the platform to exercise the freedom to propel the Gospel.
Regretfully, through public schooling, we’ve abandoned the concept of transferring a way of life, a heritage, a faith and Truth to our children. We have settled for what appears to be “free”, yet the costly result has been a total loss of values and liberty that is our birthright.
G.K. Chesterton said, “The most important fact about the subject of education is that there is no such thing. Education is not a subject, and it does not deal in subjects. It is instead the transfer of a way of life.”
What is the solution? How can we “transfer a way of life” to the next generation to restore America? The first step is returning education to a Biblical philosophy and curriculum. This will form a sure foundation for preserving our liberty and the Republic.
Teach the Children:
- The Bible is the first source to learn about economics, culture, government, mathematics, language or any subject.
- Read and study your Bible everyday to learn God’s ways so you will make good decisions, treat others fairly and keep a clear conscience.
- God has promised that you will live, it will go well with you and you will live long in the land if you heed His commands (Deuteronomy 5:33).
