The “Miracle at Midway,” the single naval battle that turned the tide of the war in the Pacific, was an amazing example of God’s providence in wartime.
“It’s hard to keep a Bull Moose down” Presidential candidate Teddy Roosevelt, on miraculously surviving an assassin’s bullet.
The providential aid of God during our founding period has been well documented; “His concurring aid” in the years since then is less well documented but just as important to our nation’s prosperity. This presentation will examine several miraculous events since the beginning of the 20th Century, in both war and peace, that have had a profound effect on our nation’s history.
Teach the Children:
- Trusting God is sometimes difficult, “we see through a glass darkly,” but our omniscient God has a plan for each life he creates.
- Knowing God’s will for a particular situation involves first knowing God’s general will for mankind. “I am the Lord, I change not” (Malachi 3:6) shows us we can trust that God’s will in both knowable and predictable.
