Thomas Slick Moorman Honored for 25 Years Service
(Chesapeake, VA) Thomas (Tommy) Slick Moorman was presented the Eagle Award on May 7, 2017 by Carole G. Adams, President, on behalf of The Foundation for American Christian Education (FACE). Tommy was honored for his 25 years of leadership and service as Chairman of the Board.
The award depicts a majestic American eagle sculpture perched on a Virginia birch with its wings spread to soar in flight. The sculpture was part of a collection of eagles at the San Francisco headquarters and was relocated to the Hall-Slater Library in Chesapeake, Virginia. The eagle was mounted and restored in Virginia. The California eagle united with the Virginia birch symbolizes the FACE mission from “sea to sea” of educating Americans in their heritage of Christian history and Biblical form of education and government.
Tommy resides in San Antonio, Texas with his wife of 42 years, Christi. During his career he managed a cattle company, oil and gas properties, ranches and other business endeavors. He has also served on many boards of business organizations and Christian ministries. Upon receiving the award Tommy remarked, “Of all the organizations I have been a part, my work for FACE has been the most meaningful to me.”
